This objective can be attained by implementing ODEX, a technique that makes it possible to use a sheath as work progresses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Corrosion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The metal armatures in use are susceptible to corrosion. When calculating dimensions it should be taken into account that the outer layer will be subjected to corrosion and will wear off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Injection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The micropile must be covered in grout to ensure that the armature remains sealed to the ground. This technique protects the armature against corrosion, and makes it possible to transfer the strains to the ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several types of injection are possible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>GSI (Global Single Injection) from the bottom of the hole<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SRI (Selective Repeated Injection) meaning the grout is injected into drilled holes at a given pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connexions with the structures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Micropiles require a more or less significant absorber base. Installing sills and concrete blocks makes it possible to transfer the strains exercised on the structure to the micropiles.<br> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Armatures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereas in some cases the use of full metal bars may be contemplated, it is generally more common to resort to steel tubes or metal profiles (HEA, IPN) which may compensate heavier loads and flexion strains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"179\" src=\"https:\/\/mtps.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/injection-coulis-micropieux.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4016\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A few figures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> drilling diameters from 100 to 250 mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tube diameters 60 to 78 mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>inclines comprised between 90 y 80<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A few maximum vertical-load values for a micropile anchored 2 m deep into a particular terrain :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Drill diameters<\/td><td>140 mm<\/td><td>200 mm<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>When sealed to rock<br><\/td><td>9 tons<\/td><td>13 tons<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>When sealed into the soil<\/td><td>1.8 tons<\/td><td>2.6 tons<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 40%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffe800\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Thierry&#8217;s advice about micropiles : <\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00ab When carrying out underpinning works, it is necessary to refer to an accurate sketch of existing foundations as well as a thorough geotechnical report.
